Grismond Tien graduated from the University of Manchester with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB, Hons) degree in 2009 and a Master of Laws degree (LLM) in International Business Law in 2010. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2012.

Grismond practises litigation in a wide variety of matters, and at various levels of Singapore’s courts. His areas of practice include commercial and contractual disputes, defamation, divorce/matrimonial cases, MCST/condominium disputes, trust property disputes, wills & probate, personal injury claims and criminal cases.

He was involved in one of the first few online defamation cases in the High Court – Golden Season Pte Ltd and others v Kairos Singapore Holdings [2015] SGHC 38. In the area of criminal law, he has handled cases involving corruption, drugs, outrage of modesty, criminal breach of trust, theft, drink-driving, affray and harrassment.

He served as an elected council member of the Law Society of Singapore from 2014 to 2017.
